Join Chef Tanya Holland, a renowned chef and friend of the CIA, for an exceptional culinary experience at CIA COPIA. The event, called “California Soul Supper,” will take place on February 18 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and costs $150 per person, all-inclusive.
The supper will feature recipes from Holland’s new cookbook, “California Soul,” served family-style in the Chuck Williams Culinary Arts Museum at Copia, following a welcome reception at 6 p.m.
During the event, Chef Holland will also sign copies of her new cookbook, which will be available for purchase. The ticket price includes food, drinks (wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages), taxes, and gratuity.
The California Soul Supper menu features an exciting range of dishes, including Pimento Cheese Popovers, Winter Chicory Salad, Grilled Monterey Bay Squid, New Orleans Barbecued Black Cod, North African Spiced Oxtails, Heirloom Red Beans with Farro and Poblano Red Onion Relish, Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad with Warm Bacon Dressing, and Sweet Potato Pot de Cremes, and Flourless Chocolate Cake.
By attending the event, you will also be supporting the CIA’s mission to provide financial aid and scholarships to more than 90 percent of its students.
Chef Holland is known for her innovative take on modern soul food and comfort classics. She founded the award-winning Brown Sugar Kitchen in Oakland, California, and is the author of several cookbooks. She has also appeared on popular TV shows such as Top Chef and Food Network’s Melting Pot Soul Kitchen and serves on the James Beard Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
