Crush Challenge
Date: 10/9
The annual Crush Challenge includes a bicycle ride around the vineyards, wine tasting activities, and food events throughout the region. Proceeds benefit local charities.
It’s hosted by ZD Wines and is one of the best events each year during harvest.
Blues, Brews & BBQ
Date: 10/2
If you love blues music, tasty micro-brews, and finger-licking BBQ, this is the event for you. You’ll have more than you can imagine to choose from in each of those categories.
This year’s event features four stages of live music, which offers something for everyone!
And, of course, don’t miss the annual rib-eating contest. This fantastic, delicious, fun-filled festival lasts all Saturday long from noon to 6pm on First Street in downtown Napa.
Herold Harvest Celebration
Date: 10/16 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
This is the first annual vineyard dinner hosted by accomplished Napa Valley winemaker, Mark Herold, in one of his original vineyard sites in Coombsville. As a nod to Mark’s heritage, multiple courses of Panamanian-style tapas will be served alongside a Cabernet-focused lineup of current release wines.
Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to be the first to sample a selection of wines prior to their release. Come join Mark and his team for an intimate evening in the vineyard as we toast to harvest and enjoy delicious cuisine!

Hometown Harvest Festival
Date: 10/16
The St. Helena Harvest Festival is one of the events in Napa in October that is fun for the whole family. It has been a community tradition for more than 30 years.
It kicks off with a morning Fun Run, followed by the Pet Parade. The day continues with live music, carnival rides, a wine lounge, a food alley, and a variety of arts and crafts.
All festivities are along Oak Avenue between Adams Street and Spring Street. It runs from 11 am to 4 pm.
Fall Fundraiser Fashion Show by Boho Lifestyle
Date: TBD
If you love fashion and wine, then this is the event for you! Sip tasty local wines as you get the insider’s scoop on some of the latest fashion trends around Napa from everyday casual to evening wear.
Make sure to add a little flare to your own wardrobe for your afternoon on the lovely lawn at Churchill Manor Bed & Breakfast. You will also be helping to raise money for NEWS, which helps survivors of domestic abuse.
Tickets are just $25 per person.

Halloween Hometown Party

Start your trick-or-treating early this year with Halloween festivities in downtown Napa on Saturday from 11am to 2pm. You and your family will encounter famous Disney characters and more fun surprises, as well as goodies at participating the local businesses decked out in orange and black. This hometown costume party is open to all ages.

These are the best events in Napa in October at our local wineries. You will find several harvest parties, the chance to stomp grapes, and new release celebrations. Many of these require tickets and/or advanced reservations so make sure to grab your seat today!
Benessere Vineyards: 2021 Harvest Party & Grape Stomp (10/9), wine and food from 11 am to 3 pm at 1010 Big Tree Road, St. Helena
Conn Creek: The Great Grape Stomp (10/24), Stomp some grapes, drink wines, and eat delicious foods, general admission $150 per person, $125 for club members, starts at 11 am until 1 pm
Markham Vineyards: Annual Harvest Celebration Dinner (10/23), live music, a 4-course meal, and incredible wines with special selections from their library, from 5 pm to 8 pm
Merryvale: Harvest Brunch and & Release Party (10/9), sparkling wine reception at their Victorian House and then take a shuttle to the top of the vineyards, live music, wines paired with food, and more, 11 am to 3 pm
Robert Biale Vineyards: After-Hours Fall Release Party (10/9), runs from 5 pm to 7 pm
Tamber Bey: Fall Harvest Party (10/23), celebrate harvest at Tamber Bey with music, food and wine tasting, $85 – $110 per person, 12pm to 5pm

Cuvaison Estate Winery: Artist Open House (7/28), enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as you experience new artwork, from 3 pm to 5 pm
Elizabeth Spencer Winery: Harvest Party (10/5), 4:30 pm to 7 pm
Falcor Wines: Pig N Pinot (10/12), release party with live music, roasted pigs and great wines, $40 for members, $55 for the general public, from 1 pm to 4 pm
Flora Springs: Sixteen Spirits Historical Ghose Winery Tour (10/5, 10/13, 10/19, 10/20, 10/27), enjoy great wines as you tour through their winery and learn about the 16 ghosts that inhabit it, limited to 12 people total, starts at 10 am
Honig Vineyard & Winery: Single Vineyard Preview Party (10/12), enjoy wine from 5 different service stations, live music, food and meet the winemaker and grape growers, 4 pm to 6:30 pm

Head to downtown Calistoga to celebrate Halloween. This family-friendly event features families and children parading through town in their costumes. Before the event starts, head over to the Calistoga Inn for some pre-parade fun with cookies and drinks.
October Shows at the Blue Note in Napa
The Blue Note is the perfect place to spend an evening in Napa. Their jazz shows are some of the most popular events in Napa in October. Enjoy dinner or just come for the show. All performances are at the historic Napa Valley Opera House in the heart of the city of Napa.
